Right of withdrawal and returns

When you buy something online, as a consumer you usually have a 14-day cooling-off period. Here's how that works at De Haagse Kerstboom, and when an exception applies. In case of any difference, the Dutch version prevails.

Artificial trees and extras: 14-day cooling-off period

For artificial trees, stands and decorations you have 14 days to change your mind, starting from the day of delivery. Within that period you can cancel the agreement without giving a reason. Let me know by email, WhatsApp or using the model form below.

  • I'll refund the purchase price, including the original delivery fee, within 14 days of your notice.
  • You may unpack and inspect the product as you would in a shop. If it has been used more than that or is damaged, I may charge a reasonable reduction in value.
  • I'll collect the product from you if you live in the delivery area.

Real Christmas trees: possible exception

A fresh, cut Christmas tree has a limited shelf life. By law, the right of withdrawal may not apply to goods that perish quickly or have a limited shelf life. That doesn't mean you're left without options: if something is wrong with your tree or you're not happy, my promise "Not happy? Money back" applies, as does your statutory right to a product that conforms to the contract.

Want to cancel a real tree before it's delivered? That's always free of charge until the day before delivery.

Setting up

Delivery and setup are part of your order. Once the setup has been fully carried out with your agreement, the right of withdrawal no longer applies to that part.
