From the Stadshart to Oosterheem
Around the Stadshart and Palenstein there are many apartments, often with lifts. The older neighbourhoods of Meerzicht, Buytenwegh and Seghwaert are mostly terraced houses with living rooms where a 150–175 cm Nordmann fits perfectly. In the newer areas of Rokkeveen, Oosterheem and Driemanspolder the homes are often a bit larger, and I regularly see the biggest size there.
In the old village along the Dorpsstraat, Zoetermeer still feels like the village it once was. And if you want some snow in December, there's always Snowworld. At home it's cosier with a real tree that smells of pine, or an artificial one you can use for years.
